Mao Lei also said frankly that in the world, Germany, Japan and the United States are all countries with strong instrument manufacturing strength. Although China's instrument production has begun to be localized, a considerable part of high-precision machinery still depends on imports. "Of course, many domestic small and medium-sized enterprises are also growing slowly. I believe that the development prospect of the instrument industry in the future will be very good."

Focusing on the future, the development of manufacturing industry is inseparable from scientific and technological innovation, and experts believe that the instrument industry is no exception.

"We used to emphasize the speed of development, but now we should pay more attention to precipitation and accumulation." In Mao Lei's view, changes in the overall environment will also encourage the instrument industry to "calm down" and make itself bigger and stronger with persistent craftsmanship, "especially in the direction of scientific and technological innovation, which should focus on the entire international market, because others are ahead of us."

On the same day, the summit gathered more than 300 entrepreneurs, experts, scholars and technical elites from leading enterprises, backbone enterprises of the national instrument industry and the upstream and downstream industrial chains to discuss the development trend of the instrument industry under the great changes.

The conference is held in Shangyu District, which is located in the south wing of the Yangtze River Delta. It is one of the top 100 districts in China in terms of comprehensive strength and technological innovation. "The real economy, especially high-end manufacturing, is the main body of Shangyu economy." Xu Jun, Secretary of Shangyu district Party committee, said that in recent years, Shangyu district has made great efforts to build a high-quality development platform with large platform and "two wings" of the industrial park. As high-end precision equipment, instrumentation is an important part of industrial production. At present, Shangyu district has gathered more than 580 instrumentation related enterprises, with 13000 employees and more than 1500 technicians.
